Drop Off's and Adoption Events
Part of our national program, this is the project that allows us to brighten people’s day... and in our own backyard!
Ever since the fall of 2014, we’ve been partaking in drop offs and adoption events locally and more recently began to expand across the nation. Drop offs constitute as leaving a lovely packaged box of ready to go stuffed animals at a place that can really use them, where they’ll then be passed out by a helper to the people. Adoption events are arguably more fun and are where we get to see first hand how much difference a stuffed animal can make in someone’s day. It’s in these events that we get to go to a place, give them stuffed animals, and engage with the people there as they “adopt” their stuffed animal. Both of these types of events have been used with nursing homes, women’s shelters, and relief centers, and have shown incredibly positive results.
